Gfwl and gamepad support in resident evil 5!

Recently,i've completed re4(resident evil 4) in ps2!it was a great experience"

now I want to play re5 in my pc!
But i don't know that 1)this game can be saved without "Games for windows live"
2)and it supports gamepad(except xbox controller.

It can be, the GFWL servers are still somewhat online. I have been playing a lot of GFWL games like Dead Rising 2 and GTA 4 on PC. Also the game does have Xbox Controller support, if you have a Playstation 3 controller like myself just use the program MotionInJoy which emulates Xbox controls on a Playstation remote.
