I'm running a machine that I just built a few weeks ago out of all new parts. It has worked fine up until this point. Today Windows is giving me Error Code 43 on the graphics card.

I wasn't present when the error occurred, but apparently my brother was playing Planet Side 2 on my rig and the game crashed: resulting in the current error.

Starting up the machine gives me blue lines all around the BIOS and Windows logos.

I've tried both restarting and shutting down the PC. I've tried uninstalling the driver through the device manager and then re-installing it. I've also tried disconnection the power SATA cables.

I just tried to uninstall and re-install again, and the computer is not showing the drivers but when I try to install them Window's claims that they are already installed.

Error code 43: You have to fix the drivers - Google is my friend

Can you try another card in your PC? Can you try your card in another PC?

Get your brother to pay to take it to a PC shop!!!

Can you give us the specs for all PC components? Might be PSU, RAM, CPU, Mobo too.

I tried your solution, but things seem to have just gotten worse by trying it. The computer is suggesting using system restore. For whatever reason, I have no input on the system restore screen to initiate the system restore.

Update: Never mind, switching my mouse from a USB 3.0 to a USB 2.0 fixed the no input problem.

Try a restore point from before the issue began

The CMD results were:Windows Resource did not find any integrity violations. The results on the machine: the Windows Logo shows up, the screen goes black.

Update: System Restore fixed the black screen issue.

If it adds anything, the blue lines appear on BIOS screen and Windows 8 is completely inaccessible due to the blue lines.

Update: I've recently tried using Registry Recycler and using a different PCI port. Nether of these attempts fixed anything. I'm going to do a complete wipe of my Windows drives as a last ditch effort. If this doesn't work, I think I'm going to have to make good on the warranty and get a replacement graphics card.

You can try a fresh windows install... Back up your files on an external harddrive. I can't say for sure you GPU is scrapped. It sounds like something got corrupted in system and it's disabling the ability for your drivers to create a dialogue between your OS and the GPU. Sounds virus like or maybe your brother hit or clicked or tinkered and botched it. However could be the GPU it's very possible. Up to you what the next step is.

I tried a clean Windows install, but that didn't work. Thankfully, Amazon is letting me get a free replacement. I'll update this to let you all know if a new card fixes the issue.

Got the replacement in and it worked right away! Kinda hard to believe that a practically new GTX 780 Ti would die like that. Oh well, at least I got a working replacement in fast.

I've updated the drivers to the latest available non-beta version and everything's running smoothly!
