can my pentium 4 3.00GHZ handle R7 240 1GB ddr5??? plz any1 reply

i know there will be a bottleneck but i want to play games like call of duty mw2 , black ops2 , resident evil 6 , dead rising 2 , dead pool , battlefield 3 ( the most important game with any fps)

i played this games with very good fps with hd 5450 1gb gddr3 (ex: deadpool on ultra , mw2 on ultra )

plz anyone tell me if it can handle the R7 240 1gb ddr5 because iam going to buy it soon

It can maybe handle it, but not well. The processor is going to seriously bottleneck that card to the point you will be very disappointed in the results.

you can use it but some modern games need at least dual core cpu. better save your money to get new platform instead

spend $200 bucks and get yourself an FX-6300 and a AM3+ motherboard, you'll be much happier with the results.

The CPU has nothing to do with the settings. The settings only adjust visual quality, which is handled by the GPU.

As you can see, the minimum requirements state that you have to have at least a dual core CPU, and that won't do very well either. Even if your other hardware was top of the line, the game still wouldn't be playable because the CPU couldn't handle it.

but i better recomment you to buy a r7 265 or a gtx 750ti you cpu wont bottleneck any of those cards xD

The CPU yahia hamdy has only has a single core, which nowhere close to enough for almost all modern games (excluding Minecraft if that can be considered modern).

Conclusion: There would be a massive bottleneck.

i didnt know it was a single core, better update your cpu to atleast a quad core, amd is launching some new quad cores cpus for only 50 dollars, its crazy xD and them you can upgrade your gpu

but i ran cod mw2 and re5 and dead pool on ultra with hd 5450 and i got a very good fps with this cpu, i saw videos who is playing bf3 with p4 and hd 5450, i didn't try the game bec. i dindt't download it but now i have it, as i saw on youtube i think i can run bf3 on low to medium at 720p and if i must to lower it i can lower it i have no problem, but thanks u all for the reply i don't matter to play this game on high or even ultra, if iam playing this gme iam happy

Well the reason nobody believed you because 15-20 fps is not usually considered playable

not playable to u but playable to me what i want to say that this gpu 5450 can handle bf3 on low setting with p4 , the r7 240 i think it will handle it on medium or low at 720p

Yes R7 240 can play any game on low to med setting at 720p but the problem is your cpu will bottleneck it.Try to get used Pentium dual core or core 2 duo cpu along with R7 240.

i bought the card guys and i got in bf3 30-35fps on high setting on 720p sometimes there is fps drops but the game runs perfect
mw2 on ultra setting v-sync on 20-30 fps alan wake A.N 20-3-fps on low setting battlefield bc2 +30 on advanced setting v-sync on
dead rising 2 20fps on ultra setting Iam Alive 15-30fps on ultra setting outlast i think more than 30 on ultra setting because it doesn't lag at all

horaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay i can't belive this i can play these games on ultra setting hell yeah

Battlefield 3 on Pentium 4 ? That too high settings 30-35fps on 720p ? You sure its not Battlefield 2 ? Because otherwise its impossible.
