I can run most games on max, but I sometimes get framedrops (rarely). However, I am now getting a 1080p monitor, and I know that that will lower my frame rate by a lot, so, I want to buy a new graphics card. I want something that can run every game on max settings at a good frame rate (60 frames or more). I'm not trying to spend like $800 on a card, though. I think anything thats around $300 or maybe even $400 is good for me. I will only be using 1 monitor. Also, do I need to upgrade my processor, is it fine?

Here are my current specs:

Radeon 6870
i5 2500k @ 3.3Ghz
8GB RAM
Windows 8.1
PSU - 750W

Your CPU is fine. For your budget, either get a new GTX 770 or a used GTX 780. Here is an eBay search for a used 780: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR11.TRC1.A0.H0.Xgtx+780+used&_nkw=gtx+780+used&_sacat=0&_from=R40

If you can get your hands on a 780 in your price range, I would jump on it; otherwise, the 770 is a pretty good card. They will both push 1080p, but the 780 will get less frame drops during intense scenes.

If you decide to go with a new card, I'd reccomend getting the Gigabyte Windforce edition, which is on sale at NewEgg right now for $329.99: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125504

I've had two gtx 770s - one with a Titan cooler and another with the Windforce...

I've had two gtx 770s - one with a Titan cooler and another with the Windforce cooler. They were roughly the same speed, but the Windforce was slightly quicker and stayed cooler under load. If you don't have very much case ventilation (e.g. a very small case or one with only one case fan), however, I'd say to go with the Titan-style cooler because it's a blower, which shoots hot air out the back of your case. The other coolers leave hot air in your case under the assumption you have a few fans cycling fresh air through your case. That card costs a little more at $389.99 on NewEgg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130939

Good luck! :D
