Solution
They look compatabile.

POST is basically the system checking itself out and making sure everything is working right, if not there will be some sort of indication (generally solid red lights and maybe a beep), indicating that something is not working right and so the machine decides to shut itself down (often). The BIOS is the underlying thing below your operating system that controls stuff (or by which you control stuff), and allows you to see what your hardware is doing and fiddle with the settings a bit. You don't need to know as much about POST other than what it basically does and your board's error codes, but you should at least get a basic familiarity with the BIOS, considering you will have to potentially shift some things...
Firmware is a little piece of software that is installed inside a hardware component to control it. The hardware component gets signals from the system, and the firmware interprets how the component should handle and respond to them. You usually don't have to worry about firmware.

Those components all look compatible.

The new types of BIOS (called UEFI) are a bit simpler in my opinion, especially many of ASUS' UEFI. Don't know as much about Gigabyte in that area
