Will i5 4670k increase the fps in games greatly?

I have i5 3350p gt 640 and 8 ram 1600mhz will this 4th gen cpu increase the fps in games like ac4 skyrim bf4 etc by 20 or more?

No. Your problem is your gpu. The i5 is a solid cpu and your 8 gb of ram are enough, but the gpu (video card) is weak.

You can't install a 4th Gen chip (LGA1150) on a 3rd gen (LGA1155) board. And no, it would not significantly increase frame rates.

You should replace your GT640, with something from an up to date GTX series. GTX760 perhaps if you have a large enough power supply.

3rd gen i5 is only very slightly slower than 4th. And even then it will probably still not be the bottleneck. Getting a new gpu should be the first priority as that is what will slow things down the most. If you are deadset on getting a new cpu then get it after the gpu, and aim for a 3570 so you don't have to get a new board. But again, GPU first.

the CPU you have is already getting the maximum out of your very weak entry level GPU, upgrading the CPU will give you exactly 0 fps more on average in games...this CPU you have in hands could feed graphics card up to a GTX780 if you would want it...so if you want better performance in games upgrade your GPU to the best possible one you can afford...

+1 for all of the above. Your CPU is fine. Your RAM is also fine. The GPU is your bottleneck.

Thanks guy so i wont buy new cpu for a year maybe so i can buy the 770 and a new psu faster maybe some cooling fans too

Upgrading the CPU won''t do anything the bottleneck is coming from you GPU. If you want better performance get a new video card.
