Everything is new but my hard drive and 2 optical drives. I started it up for the first time today and everything works and runs fine but it says windows couldnt start and it tries to "repair" it. I know windows 7 64-bit is installed on the hard drive, so I don't know what the problem is.

Anyone?

Did you install Windows 7 just for this build or was it already installed? If it was already installed, you have to re-install it (which would mean wiping the HDD, so make some backups!). This is because of the different motherboard drivers.

EDIT: Also, is the OS OEM or retail? (OEM = came with a prebuilt PC) If it's OEM, you need a new Windows key as OEM versions are tied to the motherboard. (Retail can be used in 3 different builds but not at the same time).

How do I reinstall it on the pc when it wont start?

Go to BIOS and set your disc drive to be the 1st boot device, then insert the OS installation disc into your disc drive.

Well I had Win XP on the other computer that had the HDD originally, and I bought a Win7 cd box and installed it onto the HDD on the same computer before taking it out.

Moving a HDD from one motherboard to another (with Windows already installed) will cause this to happen. You can try booting from your Win 7 DVD and running a repair from it. That should restore the startup files to allow the system to boot up.

Also, was the previous motherboard using AHCI for its SATA mode? If so, is the new motherboard set the same way?

You can always change to the more compatible IDE mode and then change to AHCI after a successful startup.

Did you buy the retail or the OEM version of Windows 7? Depending on that your code may or may not be valid anymore....

So I booted from the Win7 installation disc and did the custom installation and when I select the HDD it says "Windows cannot be installed on to this disc. The selected sic has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks.
