I've posted a little while ago about this, I've changed up the build a little bit but same old same old. I'd like this to be future proof, upgradable with ease, most if not all games at max 1080p, stream and edit videos, good looking (flashy, LEDs, matching colors, E.T.C..). My build so far:

If anyone can fix this if it needs fixing, please do so and I'll be grateful.

If over clocking is a big factor than the Maximus is a great board that overs some cooling possibilities on the vrm's and other parts. I personally have an msi gd-65 and I couldn't be happier. In my opinion the Maximus boards are so overpriced for the features all because it's an ROG board. If you like the looks and features for it go and get that board. The case you chose is horrible if you're wanting to go full custom loop, because the cooling options suck in it. I have the corsair 750d with a red a black theme and the case is great and can hold a 360 rad up top, a 280 in front and I believe another 240 or 120 (I can't remember) and still have an exhaust fan if you want it. Nothing out right now can beat the corsair 950d but it's very...
well, i would sway the cpu for the i5 4670k cuz i7 does nothing for gaming, and get a cheaper mobo, unless you plan on using all the extra features, and that is a very expensive case, also the psu is a little overkill, 650 watts if fine for now, but i guess 750 watts leaves room for another graphics card, which i suggest you get the 780 or 780ti. also, if you are only going to have 1 game running at a time, 8gb ram is plenty.

He's making the right move to select the i7. He will also be using the PC for video streaming and editing. Please read the initial post carefully. Also, Battlefield 4, Crysis 3, Assassin's Creed IV, and Watch Dogs are just a few of the games which utilize more than four cores / threads.

The main issue I would have with your build is the motherboard. The formula series is meant for an enthusiast over clicking build. It's a very expensive board for what you're doing. Your CPU cooler shows that you're not really going to overclock much if at all so you should get a cheaper bored and possibly upgrade your gpu to a 780 then or add an ssd to your build. Also are you planning on going sli in the future? If not getting a 600 or 650 watt is fine even a 500 watt will be completely fine but some head room is very nice. Also what color theme are you wanting? It's difficult to tell with your white case, black ram, black video card, then ref mobo. If you want a red then then a black case works very well but white just doesn't seem right with it. White doesn't have to many good colors with it the only one I think looks good is well white lol or blue would be fine. If you want to do any video editing or some really nice multi tasking the 4770k is very good, but other CPUs could be better. Are you ever looking into over clocking? If so the 4770k is perfect if not then the Xeon E3-1230 v2 is basically the same thing, but cheaper, more power efficient, and doesn't have the he 4600 graphics that is useless to you anyways. Also look into if you have a store like microcenter or something around you, because I did and I got my 4770k for $230 because they're always in sale there and I bundled it with a 256 gb ssd that I got for $130 it was sweet :D. We need more information on what theme, and what you're going to do with this system :) if you're going to overclock a lot then the mobo and CPU are perfect but then a new CPU cooler is important. If you're not over clocking then better options are out there, and also do you want a silent system? Or anything else? We need info on your wants since that us the purpose of building a custom pc to get just what you want :D

Thanks for your reply, I do plan on OCing after I finish getting my full build. I'm putting $3k into this comp over all. The fan is just a place holder being I don't care for using stock coolers. You listed and reminded me SO much more info then I had in the first place. Thanks for that, I'd like a black/red theme build, I am going to SLI the 770's untill I get 780ti x2. I plan on doing custom water cooling in the end, for the next few months I might run a low OC with a 'pre-built' water cool bundle for around 100$ then go full custom. If there is anything I missed please correct me. This should also be a silent build, will be running near 24/7 and I'm also going to end up tossing in 4T + a 250~ SSD. ( with or without OC )

The entho primo is also an amazing water cooling case and is much cheaper than the 950d but more expensive than the cooler master case you already chose. If you want a silent system that you will soon be putting in sli a higher watt power supply is important because many power supplies now won't even spin the fan until 15-40% load depending on the brand. Other than those possible changes your build seems fine :D and for the theme maybe get the msi gaming video card or an asus one. Even the reference nvidia cards would look pretty damn sexy. The new asus matrix 780 ti would be probably the absolute best! They're so beautiful lol. If I would you I would just change the case, power supply, and I want to say motherboard but it's difficult because the Maximus VI is a dream board to me xD

So would the corsair 750d, or the 950d be even better then the NZXT Phantom 820 ?

If you'd like to add them in, you can. I won't count them to the overall cost.

The nzxt 820 is honestly a very good case, but for the price I never really thought it was that great of quility. For $250 I might get the entho primo check out that case it gets amazing reviews and is built completely around water cooling and making the system look good. I like the 750d it really is a great case with tons of features and still being not that big even though it's a full tower. The nzxt uses a lot of useless parts just to try and make it look good and uses a lot of cheap plastic for the price and doesn't have great air flow. The 750d has the most feature for it's size , but if size isn't an issue then for I think $240 you can get the entho primo which is considered to be one of the best cases out there same with the 950d if price isn't an issue. All of these cases are elegant but also badass looking and very customizable. Check then out and I think you'll be impressed.

here it is :D and yeah, i know 32gb ram is a lot, but in the future you might need it, and you can make a ram-disk thingy, whatever its called, where you make a part of your ram ( 16gb for example) a super fast ssd that only lastes until you power down the pc.

Only thing is that the define r4 isn't a very good water cooling system and won't support a sli full system water cooling in the future and he wants to have a cooling place holder until his full loop is ready and the h100i is way more than just a place holder also I like that 32 gb of ram idea I think i might upgrade soon :D.
