CPU temp while gaming.

So I just started monitoring my PC after a scare with my CPU fan (now sorted) and I noticed that while gaming the temperature for my CPU reaches over 80 [degrees celcius]. I'm scared that this is too high and because the bios is set so that the temp limit to 50 [degrees celcius] but does not do anything to decrease it. This occurs for all games regardless of quality of graphics.

My Spec:
Asrock Extreme4 motherboard
Intel i7-3770k processor (not overclocked)
Stock Intel CPU cooler

Thank you in advance for any and all help.

Solution
that is a little hot, but not too bad, i would get a new cooler, like the evo 212 for $30, should knock the temp down to about 70c, maybe even better. also replace thermal compound.

I replaced the thermal compound but did not see a change in temperature. I was thinking of getting the Corsair h60 liquid cooler, do you think that would make much of a difference?

Thanks for your help :)
