Is a XFX Radeon HD 6770 a good gpu?

I am planning to do recording and playing games like Crysis 3, AC4:Black Flag,Farcry 3, warface , etc. Would this gpu play games well?

It was barely midrange when it launched, quickly becoming lowend. If it's the best you can afford then it doesn't matter. But you wont' be maxing out new games with it. You said Crysis 3, and while its not on this chart it would score below the unacceptable 7770.

Usually recording doesn't matter to much on the GPU. You need a strong CPU, enough ram, and fast drives for that.

It will be pretty good. I ran two 6750 in xfire and it ran crisis 3 in eyefinity. So one card should do 1080p at potentially medium settings at 60 fps or higher. The recording is the hard part though. I would almost recommend an nvidia card because they feature shadow play which would help a lot with the recordings.

Game-Debate says i could play on low, maybe medium( could try to oc my gpu) on Crysis 3, AC4 on Medium, High on Warface, Medium on Farcry 3. So why is everyone saying its a bad gpu?

Because the detail settings aren't high/max. You listed games with medium settings. Good if that's the best you can afford, but most of the time we are talking about 1080 and high/max settings. If you are aiming for that, the 6770 will disappoint. If you are ok with low/med settings then you'll be fine.

I don't see that CPU recording well while at the same time giving you high frame rates in the games. I second Nvidia for your GPU. Make sure it supports shadowplay.
