Should I get a new gpu?

Here are my specs

CPU:i5-3750k
Motherboard:ASRock z77 extreme6 LGA1155
Memory:G.Skill sniper series 8gb 2x4
Storage 1:Samsung 840 series 120gb SSD
Storage 2:Western digital 2tb hdd
Video card:Sapphire radeon 7970 GHz vapor-x 6gb.
Power supply:pc power and cooling Silencer MK II 950W 80+ silver.

I have a 1080p/ 120hz monitor and I would like get 120fps in most of my games. What would that require?

Bonus question:I currently have my gpu clock settings set at

Gpu clock:1235
Memory clock:1700
Power control:20

I manage to get 69c which I heard was good. If that is the case why do my games crash when I try to set the clocks higher?

that card can run most games at 120hz IF you dont try to run everything on ultra. Also you wont be able to clock any high without changing the voltage, software overclocking is fairly ineffective, since most cards lock the voltage in the bios. YOu would have to flash a custom bios onto the card and unlok the voltage. however increasing your voltage would cause dramatic rises in temperature and yada yada yada, basicall keep it stock. if you wanna run everything on ultra at 1080p at 120 fps, your gonna need a pretty beafy setup, but it also depends what games you play. or me a 770 plays all my games on ultra at 1080p 60hz, but i dontn play games like metro last light or other infamously graphic intensive games.
