I have had a Single Radeon hd 7870 in my computer for a while now and i am extreamly happy with its performance, but i am looking to get another card and i am wondering if getting a second 7870 would be equal to a gtx 770 or if so possibly better.

More about : sapphire radeon 7870 ghz single gtx770

I'd go for a single 770 and try to sell the 7870 you have on eBay. The problem with Crossfire and SLI is that neither actually double performance. In most cases its about a 25% increase which isn't really that great. Go for the 770 :)

Hope this helps :D

Would be better if you're talking about pure performance, though with CF thing will get a bit trickier just so you know. Some games you'll have great performance and some will run with less than what a single card gives. Lots of games will only use one card too (most big games always get CF support pretty fast after launch).

If you don't need a new psu or mobo to support it then it wouldn't be bad to CF.

Though if you need any of those upgraded to support it, then rather take your money + what you can get for your old card, and buy a brand new card.

Hope this helps! :)
