I have some compatibility questions regarding my motherboard

Solution
Yes, both those parts are compatible with your motherboard.

Two things: 1. that RAM has tall heatspreaders, so if you have an aftermarket cooler on your CPU, you should probably check for clearance issues.

2. I wouldn't personally recommend the Velociraptor these days, or at least not at that price. Yes, it's faster than a 7200 rpm disk, but it's got nothing on even an old SSD. For the price of that drive you could get either a considerably larger 7200 rpm drive, or alternatively, a somewhat larger 7200 rpm drive and 120 GB SSD to go with it.

Well, I'm certainly not saying you shouldn't change your hard drive, particularly if it's a notoriously unreliable one! That I understand. I was just saying that there are better choices available for that kind of money :)
