hi,i bought a amd graphics card well actually i bought two a 7990 and a 7970 well i came from a nvidia card i use a 47inch lg cinema 3d tv as a monitior and it has always been great!.

well i found when using the amd card the writing is not as clear and generally the desktop image is not nearly as clear but watching videos or playing games it looks fine.

i have a pretty good knowlege of computers so i know what i am doing with the settings and stuff but i just dont understand how this could be? also with the nvidia card i just have to set it to 1080p then my tv to just scan and it fits fine.i have my dpi on medium settings.

well with the amd i have to set the tv at 16:9 and manualy set the scaling in the settings everything fits fine but it just does not look rite there is just something about the color and its not just a slight difference it is massive and to be honest i could not put up with it!

i have had amd cards before and used them with the big screen and i remember having to do the same thing and also having to play with the color well when i changed to nvidia i was amazed! i thought that the issues i was having would be the same with any card when using a tv as a monitor but with the nvidia card everything looked exactly how i wanted it to.

at the moment i have put my nvidia card back in because i really could not put up with the way the text and the color was i tried every setting on the tv and the card and also adjusted the clear type text settings. i really am considering selling the new cards and just buying a nvidia replacement

thanks sorry for the big message and my lack of punctuation and bad spelling

I'd say your issue is just that AMD cards aren't really optimized for TV's used as monitors, especially a beast like that one. I would say sell the cards and buy a titan black just because it'll work better than your current card and won't cause problems like that. Or just sell the AMD cards and buy a card to use in SLI with your current one.
