so i recently bought a pc (custom built) from cyberpower and i used it for about 30 mins on a game, and 5 minutes in my PC shuts down. I have checked with games on the temp of my GPU rises to 100C which is insanely high. I was wondering is there anything i can do before i call the company?

Card is a Nvidia 3GB Gtx 780 ti card

I'd download MSI Afterburner to regulate the temperature on the graphics card. With this software, you can adjust the fan speed according to temperature by way of a curve.

Here are some options:

Have any OC's been applied?
Is the PC clean?
Is there a lot of dust inside the graphics card?
Is there a good amount of airflow within the case?
Is the fan spinning on the graphics card?

100C is close to killing the card off for good due to excessive heat. I suggest trying all of these things first and check what the temperature is then. Try reducing the settings on the game to see if that can help as well.
