2 days ago i was playing BF4 around 10am, as always i picked the server which have the lowest ping, everything runs smooth no problems. I kept playing until around 7pm, that is the time when i started noticing that my ping in not stable. My ping never go above 40, but suddenly my ping jumped to around 200-300s sometimes even 999. I was confused. Yesterday i did the same thing, i played until around 7pm and my ping is not stable again, during the day it stayed around 20-34. This never happened with the other nights. I'm the only one lagging in the game, its so annoying, i can't move, i got sniped, i can't aim, my K/D is going down.

I'm pretty sure it's not a hardware problem, my FPS never go below 40. (my hardware is not the best, i know)

What's the problem here? the game? the server?

(i saw someone posted something like this in BF4 Forum "BF4 always lags at night, you'll have to wait till the morning") <- is that true?

Solution
It's your ISP, that time of night is like peak internet usage, so everyone logs on around then to "use" the internet, and your ISP is getting overloaded.
Cause, you know, what does 50% of the internet consist of? and what time of day is the most common time to view that 50%, night time, like around 7pm, before it's time to go to be and get up for work in the morning.

Also if anyone else in your house starts using the internet that will slow it down as well.
When it is happening in BF4 ping test your connection to either a speedtest website(not always accurate) or open a command window and type /ping www.google.com.

What happens if you play a different server during those times?

Well, Just a thought If It's a Re-occurring Problem every night -to where it was running great, and then starts slowing down, - It probably isn't 100% your hardware / software's fault.

It could simply be internet Traffic picking up in your area, after people get home form work, etc.
OR it could also be internet traffic picking up where the SERVER is based.

Hope It Helps!

Got another problem now.

So I've been playing the game all day from around 8am until now (00.59am). Around 7pm my ping is still stable, it stays around 20-34 until now, but then i noticed an extreme frame drop from 64 to 2 FPS, then i checked my temps, my cpu is 64ºC, my gpu is 66ºC. It didn't happen after 2 matches, during the third match it happens like every 2 seconds, so i checked my temps again my cpu is 67ºC, my gpu is 68ºC. What now? hardware problem? i know that my cpu and gpu is not overheating. This didn't happened during the day.

is god trying to tell me to stop being a "night owl" or something?

Your PC might be throttling due to CPU temps; anything much over 60C is approaching "too warm".

Also possible, depending on your connection (cable?) that the internet in your area gets hammered once everyone starts using it. It is a shared line after all...

He said it only happens in BF4. I wonder if it something with Origins?

i don't know if my pc is throttling or not due to my CPU temps, but this ONLY happens in BF4, any game runs smooth, no frame drops, no lags. I don't think its my connection, like i said, it ONLY happens in BF4. I can play any game at any time without problems but BF4.
