PC Fans Powered via Wall Outlet.

can the average PC fans be wired to a 300V wire or will it cause a problem with the voltage, current and amperage?

thank you for any help.

Solution
no, you cannot wire them up to a wall unless you want to fry your fans. the only way to properly do it would to include either a power transformer or converter of some sort, as power straight from the wall will fry it...it's why you need a psu in your computer instead of hooking the motherboard up to the wall

They do make AC fans that small but installing them into your pc with a cord running out to the wall/powerstrip is not optimal, they would produce much more electromagnetic noise, and you would have no way of turning them on or off with the pc.
