I purchased the new Asus Radeon R9 280X Graphics card. I was using the Nvidia 560Ti with an Emerson 32" monitor. I connected this card to the large monitor using the HD connection on the video card and monitor. With the 560Ti I never had one issue, from installation on. I removed the 560 Ti and installed the R9 280X using the same hookup as I had with the 560Ti (HD cord).
I can see that the new graphics card has power by the red and green lights on the bottom of the video card. When I connected the card I used the accompanying power supply adapter. What I did notice was even though I have plugged into two separate cords coming from the power supply, (using the adapter), there was only one six pin I could plug into on the new 280X. This leaves one six pin area on the graphics card not in use. This leads me to ask, " does the graphics card have enough power to perform?
Now, if it does because I used the adapter, that was supplied with the new 280X, "why am I not getting anything as far as a picture on my monitor.
Any guidance and or advise you can give is greatly appreciated in advance.
