Sorry, there was a lot more but it seems my phone didn't upload it all. Here it is:
My computer keeps restarting when I play games such as CoD 4 and Sniper Elite. My friend suggested it might be overheating due to a build up of dust and I have since cleaned it out as best I can, however the problem still keeps happening. As far as I can tell my rig should be able to run them, here are the details:
My Rig:
GPU - GeForce GTX 570
CPU - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600k CPU @ 3.4GHz
Memory - 8GB RAM
Resolution - 1920 x 1080, 60Hz
Driver version - 335.23
Op System - Windows 7

I'd appreciate any solutions you could provide since it has become really frustrating for me.

Thanks

What is the make and model of your power supply, random restarts and shutdowns can be a symptom of a dying power supply, if you can try switching out a different power supply to test it would help to rule it out or tag it as the problem.

I think it's a Thermaltake 750 or 850W heavy duty power supply.
If you think that I should switch it out, do you have any recommendation on what I should replace it with?

What's the normal temp that I should try and maintain it at and how can I ensure it doesn't overheat?
As of now my 4 CPU core temps vary from 27C to about 30C and my GPU temp fluctuates between 30C and 35.

check the 12v rail of your psu. a rough gauge will be using software monitoring. to further confirm it, use a multimeter. a good psu's 12v rail shld go no lower than 11.5v or thereabouts. does your pc restart only when playing games? especially graphic intensive ones? coz I had the same problem. my 12v rail dipped below 11v and that caused my pc to restart

It's probably either over heating or your PSU is faulty. Also Make sure you have all your power cables securely attached to your motherboard. I was having a similar issue and I hadn't plugged in one of the cables in all the way.
