One of my computers has two hard drives in raid 0 for the boot/system drive. It also has two hard drives in raid 1 for my data. One of the drives in raid 0 has failed and now I want to replace the raid 0 with a single ssd for my system. I'd like to still use my raid 1 drives for my data. Will I still be able to use and access my raid 1 drives after I do a new OS installation on the ssd?

And how should I go about the OS installation? Should I install raid drivers during the OS installation and then connect the raid 1 drives after? Or should I have the raid 1 drives connected during the OS install. I just want to make sure I won't erase my raid 1 drives.

Thanks.

How to install depends on how your motherbd passes a single drive thru the raid controller. On some motherbd you have to create a single drive raid1, on others theres a raid Ready setting, on others theres no issues, it just gets passed thru since you didnt go into the bios and put it in an array.
