Upgrade FX 8120 and GTX 560 ti or Wait?

Hello,
I am currently using the FX 8120, which I bought last year (I didn't do enough research and realized that Bulldozer is terrible at gaming until much later). Please help me decide on a few options I have:

Would it be a good decision to "upgrade" to the 6300 now or wait for new releases in the future. Alternatively, are there any other CPU's you would recommend?

Would the fx 6300 work well with the GTX 560 ti or would I need to upgrade that as well?

Finally, I have been put into this position after noticing very poor performance in DayZ with Bulldozer architectures, so would lag be fixed by getting the FX 6300? My goal is to make the build able to play modern titles at 1080p on high settings on games like DayZ, Rust, BF4, etc.

How much money do you have? The best you could get honestly could be a 6300 and a possible 760/770, but if you're going up to the 770+ level you might want a different motherboard which supports an intel processor.

What's the budget?

If you have a motherboard that supports turning cores on and off (module)so it would be like you turned that 8120 into a 6 core, and then you can supply much more voltage to each core to get a higher clock per core. 6 higher clocked cores will help tremendously and would be better balanced with your GPU. so while the 6300 would take care of that all together, you would still want to overclock it a lot. Maybe turning cores off will fix the problems in those games and save u money for a little longer. (as opposed to buying a new CPU right now)

So, assuming our budget is $300-$500, I would upgrade to an R9 270X GPU. They're $180-$250, depending on the type you get, and are on the border between mid and high tier cards. I'm not sure what CPU to get, but I would suggest an FX-9370. It's built on a piledriver core (more advanced bulldozer) so I'm not sure how well it will perform in games, but it's got plenty of hertz, and pretty good single-thread performance (about 90% of what most i5 and i7 cores have per thread). It costs around $230 though, so you might want to go with an FX-6000 series CPU.

The 9370 has massive power draw and produces lots of heat, the FX 8320 makes much more price : performance sense if going with an 8 core FX. the 6 core isnt a bad choice either, but it needs to be clocked very highly.
