The closest thing to creating an image of your Windows XP system with software already on it would be to perform a full backup. As was already mentioned, one way is to use
Ntbackup from the command prompt. Another approach would be to use the GUI based Backup Tool. More information can be found on the

One thing to keep in mind is that the Backup utility is not included in a default installation of Windows XP Home. You’ll need to install that manually if this is the version of Windows XP that you’re using.
You should also be aware that as of April 8th, 2014,
Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft. What this means is that technical support and security updates aren’t being provided any longer. Any vulnerabilities that may become exposed will not be patched, thus making your system more vulnerable to attacks. It is strongly recommended to make the move to a supported operating system such as
Windows 8.1 to continue receiving regular security updates.
