Hey everyone, i built my first system late December and it has been working fine though ever since the first boot up the hard drive has been making a grinding noise. Its not only when its doing an action but it is making the sound very often. At first i thought it was normal but it has seemed to be getting worse. Should i repalce it? If so could it be as simple as plugging a new hard drive in and copying everything over from the old to the new one then just wipe the old and unplugg it? The hard drive doesnt have the o.s on it so i dont have to worry about that. Really appreciate any help. Thanks,
Jared

Solution
Yes, if its new you should RMA it after copying it's across to a replacement. HDDs (or anything else in your PC) shouldn't make a 'grinding' noise.
