My condo is wired for internet. I have a router connected to an 8 port switch. The router works fine through the switch and was using the other ports on the switch to connect the bedrooms with internet (switch ports connected to corresponding bedroom ports in closet hub).
Tonight I tried to stream my PS3 in my bedroom, however, the connection was not working. I tried switching ports on the switch, but none worked. The router was still working and wifi was same as usual. I even tried to use the port the router was using on the switch but connections still didn't work.
Here is the strange part that I don't understand. The router works on all the switch ports, but the bedroom lines do not.
When I connect the bedroom lines to the router ports they work perfect. I used the PS3 and laptop to confirm
What is going on? What changed all of a sudden?
