Hi,
Three weeks ago when I woke up and turn on my pc, the screen show up BSOD. It says that bootable device missing, etc... I google and try to fix it through answers of those kind people but I have no luck. I have lenovo Y500 and I bought it here in moscow so in short it is a single language Russian. I cannot install or download english pack since my OS is not 8 pro. So when this problem appear in my computer I decided to by win 8.1pro and do a clean install win 8.1 uefi... Again I have no luck because it wont allow me to instal6l the through just simple clean install until I try to used diskpart/bootrec, delete partition and apply new one and etc. So I thought I got my luck but NO, because the winload.efi is missing appeard on the screen.. I repeat the process maybe twice or more but no luck again. What should I do now because even i format the partition into GPT still it appears the warning message "not possible to install in that partition" something like that. So I think that is one problem why it wont boot how it should...please help...thank you in advance...

Solution

Try installing to Unallocated Space.
Boot from your Installation disk, when you get to the screen 'Where do you want to install Windows' choose 'Drive options (Advanced)', select each partition in turn and delete them, so you end up with only Unallocated Space. Continue to install Windows on this space without formatting or creating any partitions, this will ensure a 'clean' install and allow Windows to create a System Reserved partition (350Mb).

Thanks for the reply mate. I've a successful clean install but since I do a lot of try I can't remember what I did. So right now its another problem.. It is extremely slow and I restart the system and it wont boot up. I use recovery disk and apply some fixes but it seems useless... I haven't try using cmd for now bcoz I'm not so sure what to do. Maybe bootrec or bcd might help but I don't want to start back to scrap when I did something wrong using cmd. So please if you have some answer and links connected to my inquiries please let me know. Thank you.
