can i put four sticks of 4 gig in a z87 g43

hi,
as you may well know the g43 has 4 ram slots two a different colour from the others, i was just wondering if i can add an extra 8 gig (2 sticks) regardless of the colour which i sure has a reason for being there.

Yes you can, as long as the new sticks are identical to the old ones, otherwise you might have to run it in single channel mode (slower). The color coding is there to make setting up dual channel RAM with two sticks easier.

You can try, mixing packages can be problematic, even of the same exact model, if you do try, and we can get them to play it would be in dual channel
