I am in huge need of installing 64bit os. My CPU is 64bi compatible, and i have the 64bit files. The problem is, im not quite sure on whether i can just mount the .ISO and run the setup. I do not mind loosing my files, but i do not have a USB drive or a DVD available!
Installing 64bit Win8 over 32bit Win8 without cd or usb.

One possibility is that you could use native VHD boot. See the video here where he walks through performing VHD boot with Windows 7 and you’ll notice that he is able to get the native VHD boot environment up and running without separate installation media. Bear in mind that though he is using ImageX with Windows 7, for Windows 8 you would want to use DISM to apply the image.
With that said, I would recommend getting a USB stick to perform your installation over VHD boot. While VHD boot is very stable and usable as an everyday environment, it does add a layer of complexity.
