attempted BIOS update/flash through Windows but it manages to erase/corrupt the BIOS and did not rewrite the new version so now my ASUS CG5290 is bricked on startup no video/No POST all fans spin but that's it no other sounds/ No beeps, pulled battery tried resetting no go..... New pre-programmed BIOS chip????? will that possibily get it up running? Need help here

Apparently you didn't save a copy of the original MB BIOS to a flash drive before flashing so you could use the Asus Crash Free Bios 3 Utility to restore it? :no:
That is in the very first section of the MB Mnaual under BIOS Setup, pg. 3-1

Anyway... Contact Asus support with the situation. Maybe they can help you out by providing a downloadable of the default BIOS you can use on a flash drive.
