Hello everyone! So about 7 or 8 years ago i bought my pc with a 160GB toshiba HDD unit, and it still works to this day, but ~3 weeks ago it started to make strange noises when being underload so i think it is time to upgrade my storage. I've been looking at some HDD but i cannot really decide which one to take, they all seem like the same, but still, the budget is a thing for me, so i need your help to decide which is the most optional HDD for me to buy.

Here are some options:
TOSHIBA DT01ACA050 (3.5", 500GB, 32MB, SATA III-600)
SEAGATE/SAMSUNG HDD Desktop Barracuda HD502HJ (3.5", 500GB, 16MB, SATA II-300)
SEAGATE HDD Desktop Barracuda 7200 (3.5",500GB,16MB,SATA III-600)
WD Green HDD Desktop (3.5", 500GB, 64MB, SATA III-600)
WD Blue HDD Desktop (3.5",500GB,16MB,SATA III-600)

All of these go from cheapest to the most expensive in this list.

Are there any differences in them? Are they quality made to last? Maybe you have some suggestion and could give me some more options?

Thanks for helping out!

Considering that the price of those HDDs in your list doesn't really have much difference and are almost the same. You'll get the best value of your money with the one that has better specifications. I'd say WD Green HDD Desktop (3.5", 500GB, 64MB, SATA III-600) is way better than TOSHIBA DT01ACA050 (3.5", 500GB, 32MB, SATA III-600) because WD has an 5400-7200 rpm (IntelliPower) rotation speed and 64 MB cache memory. Just a thought. Hope it helps.

Could you explain why? I'm not really seeing the difference between all of them apart that 16-32-64 MB thingy. Is that something that i should be concerned about?
