Windows Message (XP): "Windows is unable to connect to the selected network. The network may no longer be in range. Please refresh the list of available networks, and try to connect again". In Wireless Network Connection it shows my wireless network with all 5 bars lit up. When I click the connect button I get the message above. It never gives me the opportunity to enter the security code. Device manager shows the device working properly. Why would Windows keep give me this message over and over without letting me sign in the security code? I also checked that Win Zero is running properly.

Solution
this may be a mute question but what is the encryption that the router is set with and then check what your XP can do. If it is built in wireless it may not have the newer security to communicate with the router. In my work I have had to either lower the security on the router or install a newer wireless adaptor (internal or external) with the newer technology and drivers to work right.
