I have almost the same system as you, i7 2600, EVGA gtx 680 2GB, and 16gb of ram. I play every game I want maxed out. I would not trust that PSU, it is a POS. You want clean power going to your system, heat and dirty power are what kills electronics. I would recommend an Antec, Seasonic, Corsair or an XFX. BUT PLEASE ASK THE TOMS COMMUNITY BEFORE BUYING ANY PSU, AND DO SOME OF YOUR OWN RESEARCH. But all in all that is a very solid build, enjoy gaming on it. If I might ask are you building this, buying it used, or buying it new prebuilt. Also what is your budget?

Hey tell us your budget, I am certain we can help you buy great components for the money. Tell us stuff like where you live, maybe you are close to a microcenter, frys, etc. I would recommend getting a K unlocked multiplier, and 16GB of 2666 is way more than you need. Did you use pcpartpicker? You could go with 8GB of 1866 and save cash that way. Are you interested in upgrading, or SLI? You might want to get at a minimum a 750W for SLI 770. Also what resolution do you play at? You could get 4gb 770 for better SLI down the road at higher resolutions.

How long will it max out games? Depends on resolution. Getting an unlocked CPU, will help. Getting a 770 4gb will help with resolutions higher than 1080P or multi monitor set up, especially SLI. My rig at one 1080P monitor has been good to me for the past two years, but @ 4k or triple displays it wouldn't hack it at all. You have to tell us what resolution bud.

Yeah, but for how long? Any plans to go up in resolution as 4K becomes better/cheaper etc, or more monitors. If you only game @ 1080p for the next few years you should be fine. I do believe that because these next gen systems are using x86 and more cores that games will finally take advantage of more CPU cores. Like my quad core i7 has hyper threading so, that will help later on giving it 8 integer cores. But your i5 doesn't, will my prediction about gaming come true about more cores being useful, I don't know.

I would get an unlocked CPU though, wish I had. It will max out games longer if you do and then OC it
