Entire Laptop Screen Glitches

I can't enter my laptop due to the screen entirely glitching out. The windows startup screen shows up (most of the time) but as soon as I get to my login screen, the entire screen glitches out. I can't see anything. There are multi color (Like green, yellow, and pink) horizontal lines flashing on my screen, alternating coloors every second.

I looked into that. I don't think it's the LCD, though i could be wrong. The screen works fine for about 3 minutes(Pristine) and then it begins to glitch it. Do you think it could a virus or a programming error?
regardless, I have no idea how to get rid of it :p

Windows loads and then I get to the login page where I type in my password to enter desktop screen. As soon as I enter my password the glitching starts.
Sometimes it varies though. I turned it on about 8 times today, hoping it would let me login for just a few minutes. Sometimes it begins to glitch while windows is loading. Other times it glitches when I log into my user account.
Some help sites keep telling me to go download some program from the internet, but I can't even get into my account, let alone the internet.
btw thanks for your insight. Clearly i'm no expert lol

hmmm could be a corupt display driver mambey have you tried safe mode? if that doesent work reinstall video driver and if that doesent work do a fresh instal and if none of hte above work its a bad lcd but i suspect one of the first three will fix it
