I have recently purchased a laptop "Toshiba Satellite model # PSCFWC-00T002" from my local Walmart on a floor model discount price making it very affordable. The local staff member did by procedure according to store standards everything applicable to delete and prepare the laptop for private ownership. When I got it home it was full of oddities and most bothersome an Administer named Demo. Oh yah forgot to menschen it is a touch screen if makes a diff. Anyhow did the Windows 8 factory reset all that and still unable to get rid of it. All said and done I ended deleting windows 8and the recovery partition as did another fella on this web site . His most Knowledgeable advice was said to contact Toshiba after being told he was screwed lol. This was posted about six months ago. Is this still the only solution to date for this problem? And yah the guy at Walmart gave me the same " Your screwed " answer not even being as intelligent as this forum.

"The local staff member" did NOT get it ready for a regular consumer. Floor models at big box stores often have a Demo user. That is what you see.

Take it back and either get a new one or make them fix it.
This is between you and Walmart, not you and Toshiba.
