s-video (+ 3.5mm ) to rca (red white yellow) not working

hello guys,
i have a problem, i connected my pc graphic card to my TV, s-video from my pc - to the rca in my tv.
i get the voice from my pc, but even tho my pc recognize the TV i get a blue screen on the tv. no video signal.
how should i fix it ?

windows 7.
no hdmi.

i have no hdmi port in my tv, its an old pc that have only rca.
i do have dvi port in my pc, but no cable.

i bought the s-video to rca already, and its already connected can i make it work ?

in the 'Screen Resolution' i tried all the options, extend and duplicate but still blue screen.

tnx for your assistance,
i tried your course of action, and i got 3 monitors on the 'Screen Resolution' window, but it still didn't send any video signal.
do u have any other advice ?

well i have no idea what i have done, near to the point i was about to give up, it worked.
now i can see a signal on the TV, but there is still a problem, the pic is black and white.
how can i fix this ?

in the NVIDIA control panel i can see the TV and frame rate ( its should be 25Hz, and when it was 50 he was blue screen ).
and i can see the signal format but i can't choose any of them ( i can choose but after i press apply it changing back to blank immediately ).
