Hi fellow forum users!
I am going to get a new MOBO for my birthday, and I am torn between 2.

1. GA-990FX-UD7
2. ASUS Crosshair V Formula Z

EDIT: KEEP IN MIND I AM USING AN FX8350 AND AN OLD GTX460 THAT I WILL MOST LIKELY SLI LATER. I HAVE THE Swiftech H20 320 Edge HD on its way, I am planning on some OC work, so stability is a must have.

Hmm I am just wondering about the color scheme and the added size, plus it is a wee bit cheaper.

I have not bought one yet, but I am going with the Crosshair V Formula Z for several reasons.

1. The ASUS board was used to hit the fastest CPU frequency ever..... 8.4 GHZ.
2. The Gigabyte requires a larger case as it is EATX, and that is where I skimped a little, buying a smaller mid tower.
3. The Gigabyte is known to be a little less OC workable.
4. I like the ASUS feature set a little better.

Thanks for the reply! I bought my board yesterday and went with the sabertooth 990fx! won’t change a thing about it. I love it and its cheaper! (not by much) i did a very small overclock on my fx8320 to 4.0mgz and it was as easy as a walk on the park with that board! you might want to consider this board its not that much of a difference from the crosshair. let me know what you end up buying just out of curiosity =)

Haha still recovering from my $320 purchase of a Swiftech H20 320 Edge HD, a 360mm water cooler that idles my FX8350 at 13C socket temp.

EDIT: Happens to be 20 degrees F below the 75 degree temp of my house.
