I think it would work but I really wouldn't recommend doing it. Normally you want the pump right next to the power supply in the case at the bottom. What I have noticed is the more you move your pump further towards the power supply the harder it becomes to run your tubs while also making it look good. What I like to do is I like to take a picture of my case, and then I like to insert little blocks that represent the shapes of the pumps etc... Then in some photo editor, or paint I like to lay out where I want everything to go with those blocks.
