I would not recommend that card. That card is a very slow card that is generally used for computers that serve as "media centers" so they are hooked up to the television and play videos etc. They are not really suited for games.

You are going to want a little more of a graphics card to be able to play any games on your computer. Do you have a starting budget? Something like this would be a very very good upgrade for your computer:

That GPU meets the minimum requirement of almost every game on the market today. Most games market the minimum requirement for their games to be a Nvidia 8800GT. This GPU is just as fast as one of those.

I can't find that emachine model. Are you sure you typed the number correctly?
If the machine is a low profile slim line, you will need a low profile card. If not, you can use a full size card. So that is the first thing we have to determine.

Try Emachines E1161-07

The good news is that you at least have a dual core. More good news is that you are able to put in a modern graphics card!

The bad news is that you might need a new power supply to run some cards (SOME) and your processor, while a dual core, is still aged.

Granted, I have an even older Athlon 64 X2 4600+, one of the first dual cores ever. It still plays games like League of Legends and other games just great.

Do you have a budget for the upgrade?

A power supply upgrade is always a good idea for reliability purposes.

You would hardly see any improvement with either of the cards you just listed. Unless you have BestBuy credit to spend (which is usually better spent), I would not choose a video card from BestBuy as they are usually ridiculously overpriced. Unless you cannot order online I would recommend choosing something from the website above; they have a good selection of computer-specific parts.
