Newly Built PC Randomly Freezes

Hey everyone,

I've been having random freezes with my PC lately. I did a bunch of clean installs of both Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, and they happened with both OS's. During these freezes, my mouse/keyboard do not respond, my speakers make an annoying buzzing sound, and I have to do a hard restart. I've reseated everything on the motherboard once before, so I don't know what the problem is. Temps have been low, never going past 35C even under load.

Here are my specs:

OS: Win 7 Ultimate, x64
MoBo: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P
CPU: AMD FX 8350, not OC.
GPU: MSI Radeon HD 7770 GhZ Edition
HDD: WD Black 1TB
RAM: 1x8GB Patriot Viper DDR3
PSU: Dynex 520 Watt
CPU Cooler: CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo

If it makes it easier, I have my RAM in the second slot as opposed to the first, as it's easier to get the cooler in that way. I can move it if need be.
I haven't run any tests, and I don't have the equipment necessary in order to replace things/check for bad parts, and would like to avoid purchasing more if possible.

Thanks!

Where does it freeze, after windows gets done booting or while windows is booting?

As HiTech brought up, should try to get the stick in the closest slot to the CPU.

I just reseated the CPU again and moved the RAM to the first slot. Thus far, no crashes/freezes. We'll see how if goes over the next few hours.

Diablo, it freezes after booting, usually when I'm in the middle of doing something such as surfing the web, though it isn't restricted to this. I has done it from idle.
