I don't know where it came from but a program called "QuickShare" showed up on my control panel program list awhile back. I have tried to uninstall/delete this program dozens of times. Control Panel goes through the motions of deletion, but in the end, QuickShare is still there. Anyone know where this program came from and how to get rid of it?

Well, this solution seems to have gotten rid of everything except the icon on the control panel list. The icon is still there, but now when I try to uninstall it, I'm told that "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable." It also lists a pathname where the program/code/whatever used to reside I guess. This is an improvement over what was done before (basically go through the motions and don't do anything). At least now I think everything is gone except the icon.
