Hi all,
I removed a i5-2400 from a HP machine, but the stock cooler doesn't fit my new mobo, the screw's are too short and don't appear to be interchangeable with longer ones as they're spring loaded.

Is there a silent/ultra quiet cooler available for a 1155 socket CPU under £50??

Thanks

The CM Evo/Duo coolers are a good value, but this NOCTUA cooler is essentially silent:

I've build PC's with all of these coolers and the CM coolers had a bit of fan noise especially under load whereas the Noctua was silent at idle, and barely audible when stressed converting video (assuming you setup your FAN CONTROL software properly).

*Most motherboards support only PWM fans so if looking at anything else make sure the fan is supported otherwise you won't have any fan control.
