Hi guys,
I'm looking at building a HTPC soon, the plan is that any music, movies and TV going on goes through this box for ease of use. I'm pretty confident on which parts I'm going for in terms of CPU/RAM/HDD's/Case etc. but not too sure in terms of finishing touches. Budget isn't really an issue so long as it doesn't get ridiculous.
- One bit I'm not sure on is the TV tuner card. I'm in the UK and am after something with as many channels as possible, preferably in HD. Also with the ability to record, pause and rewind live TV if possible. I don't mind whether this needs to be a regular TV connector, a satellite or cable one or a combination but it should be an internal tuner (PCI or PCI-e) Any ideas on this?
- The other bit is software, XBMC seems like the go-to choice. Is this likely to integrate nicely with any TV tuner card and remote control I find or do I need to look for something specific?
