I'm pretty new to overclocking, so I just need some help getting started. I have a fx-4170 quad core cpu clocked at 4.2 ghz. I'm looking to oc my gpu to squeeze a little more out of it. How high should i set the core clock, mem clock, voltages, etc. And what temperatures should i stop at? I'm around 29-30 degrees idle. Lastly, which program should i use? Ive heard about afterburner, trixx, and a few others.
Thank you for any help!

MSI Afterburner is the easiest program to use if you're wishing to overclock as well as monitoring temperatures by the second.

Use Trixx for your card.

It's made for Sapphire, very simple to use, and can keep different profiles. This is the manual: https://www.sapphireselectclub.com/ssc/TriXX/TriXXQuick...

In general, overclock the GPU and Memory by the same amount. Also, not every program will stress things the same so one might crash your system and another might not if the overclock is too high.

Don't use GPU stress apps like Furmark to determine game overclocking stability as it stresses far more than a game would.

should i worry about voltages, etc.? I have a wide range of games to test the oc on as well. What temp should i stop? Should i increase the fan speed?

Thank You for the responses!

You should raise the voltage in small increments every time you do so with the clock speeds. Games are the best way to check, but using a program like Heaven will help as well. Always check the temperatures to see that your graphics card isn't getting too hot (below 80 would be the best) and you can raise the fan speed if it starts to get too hot.
