Trying to update my GPU driver but every time it makes screen resolution issues

Evert time i try to update my AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series GPU while instaling the screen turn black for a second and return with a not fiting resolution

Only whan i install back the old driver version the resolution return to normal.

Just stick with the older drivers until you get a new card.

amd doesnt support "older cards" in their newer drivers. i think 13.2 is the last for the 6xxx series, but i could be wrong. thats part of the reason i dont like amd, they stop support on hardware that is in no way outdated

Every time I install a GFX driver the screen goes black for a second. It us rare that I get back to an odd resolution but it has happened.... I just change it back.

screen flashing is normal during gpu driver updates. changing the resolution is normal to after a driver update clean install
