GPU payment issue

Hey guys, I recently paid for a GPU from a computer store, the price they quoted me was 859.99 before tax and 963 after tax for the gtx 780 ti kingpin. The question i have is, If they ask me to pay more because the card is actually listed at 959.99, but i have already paid the 963 they quoted me. I asked the sales rep 3 times to make sure the price was correct, and he said yes it is 963. So when i go to pick it up and they say that they made a mistake and i was charged 100 less, do i have to pay it or can i say that i have already paid the amount on the quote in full and refuse to pay the extra? Are they allowed to withhold the card from me, if i don't pay the 100 extra?


sorry its not an actual GPU question, but i just want to know where i stand if they do happen to ask for the extra cash.

You should provide proof, call your bank or credit card company, and get them to send you an invoice of your statement, or wait until the months ago if it's viable.

The amount you were actually charged will be there.

Yeah, I have the receipt. I just recently paid for it, it will be ready for pick up sometime next week. I just wanted to see what people had to say regarding my issue. I have already paid in full the amount they quoted me, and i have the invoice in which i paid the full 963. They may ask me to pay the 100 more, that the card is know listed at. I wanted to see if i should refuse to pay the extra 100 seeing as i have already purchased the card for the price quoted.

If it was only a quote, verbally over the phone... probably not much you can do. This is classic bait & switch to get you into the store.

If you were already charged and have an invoice, I would demand the card. If they refuse, about all you can do is cancel the transaction(refund) & report them to the BBB(in USA).

Yeah, I have it all paid for. If they ask me to pay the 100, i will just ask to have my money returned. Because i agreed to pay only the quoted price, which i did in fill. I will just cancel if they ask me to pay more. The card is built to order so they may try to make me pay, but i will not pay, what i didn't agree to pay. I will get back to you guys regarding what happens.
