I have an AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Processor 3.21 GHz and it has been giving me issues since the day I received it (used).

While gaming, video editing, or video rendering, it will give me the bluescreen "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR"

I have previously determined that my issue was a cooling issue. The processor is over-heating, I think. I have recently purchased a new cooling system and it is still crashing. I have the side of my computer case off and have pointed a fan at my processor while gaming or running a high processor demand program and it seems to help a little bit but I will still end up crashing if I do not set affinity from 6 cores to 4 or 2.

Is this just an issue with my processor? My motherboard? My cooling system? Help! Thanks in advance for any advice. Much appreciated.

"WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR" means a fatal hardware error. Since you indicated that the CPU has been giving you problems since you installed it, I'm willing to bet it's probably bad. Not to mention the fact that you bought it used (Bad idea). It could be that your CPU has a core or two burned out in it, since it crashes unless you drop a few cores from the equation.

Try using RealTemp or other some such software to get an idea of what your CPU temperatures are looking like. Although I'm sure your temperatures aren't the problem here.

Hope this helps.
