PLEASE HELP ME! I am trying to install linux on my windows 8.1 x64 pc and whenever i select usb it just boots straight back to the hard drive. my bios is a traditional bios (non uefi).
PS: my bios brand is InsydeH2O.

Hi. Are you sure you made your Linux USB correctly? I use LiLi.

If you are sure its made correctly and bootable, from your bios boot menu: check to see if it's listed under harddrive boot options and not USB.

In addition to Skittles question, the BIOS may not be configured to detect the USB or may have its positioning to detect other forms of bootable drives in front of USB
