So I finally got enough money saved up to buy a new pc. But I would like to build mine instead of getting a laptop or somthing prebuilt. And the 2 graphic cards that are in my price range is the r9 270x or the gtx 760. But I'm not sure which one is going to give better performance. If anyone knows which one is going to be the better buy please tell me.

I would say that GTX 760 is the way to go right now, I personally think ASUS DCUII version of the card has the best price/performance,
please do not get the reference card, it has sub par cooling, and is considerabely slower,
on the other hand R9 270X is also a wonderful card, the sapphire toxic edition R9 comes close to GTX 760, very close within the margin of error actually,
anyway my pick would be GTX 760(ASUS DCUII
) but either ways you can't really go wrong.

760 is a more powerful card, allows shadow play, and uses less power. If you can get a 760 then go for it. The difference in performance between these cards is only about 5%, and some games will preform better on one card or the other but the slight victory goes to the 760.
