I'm currently running a home-built desktop rig with an AMD FX 4100 4 core, ASUS M5 A97 MB, 8 gig of RAM, and an ATI Radeon HD 5770 graphics card. Runs great, but I'm sure I'm way behind in potential performance. I'm looking to do a reasonably priced CPU and MB upgrade using the existing Radeon card.. It seems the number if AMD CPUs and corresponding motherboards is making my head spin! I have my eye on an AMD FX-6350 and ASUS M5A99FX Pro R2.0 motherboard with 4 gig (for now) of DDR 3 ram. I'm a moderate but not hard core gamer and based on benchmark ratings, it seems this combo would be a reasonable upgrade for about $270 (tigerdirect) What do you folks think??? Thanks!

Thanks, Blackbird and Iemini - I'll take your sugggestions but will probably stay with the 5770 card for a while until I can fit a 7790 into my budget! Again, thanks for sharing your knowledge.
