crysis 3 low fps

I have hp n204tx laptop
GeForce 740M
8GB RAM
i5 4200U
My crysis 3 gives really inconsistent fps even at lowest settings
Same thing with cod ghosts
Is there any solution??

probably your have overheating problems .what temperatures your reading.

Try to run a benchmark at first, second check windows power setting for maximum performance.

my gpu temperature is about 67 degree Celsius.
gpu load is 99%.
video engine load is 0%.
I minimized c3 and took these readings on gpuz

the problem is ghost and bf4 and crysis 3 very pcu intensive video games your may wanna turn off aliasing off and motion bluer and anything else and go low with settings in the game.

Fps remain 40-45 and then suddenly drop to 16-18

you may wanna do a defragmentation for your HHD and use cleaner like:https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner the program is free and do the job great.

One more thing...I suspect my gpu is stops working at certain points 'coz my gpu-z shows the video engine load as 0%
There is absolutely no lagging problem of bf4....then why my rig can't handle crysis 3??

No...still no improvement...I used ccleaner and defragmented my drives still the same condition:-(

Reasons :

1. first of all its Laptop if im not mistaking , you really should not expect constant 60fps from crysis 3 running on a LAPTOP

2. your specs are weak for running Crysis 3 at constant high FPS

3. Crysis 3 V1.0 has lots of problems , including Physx . update the CRYSIS to version 1.3 to solve the performance issue ( that worked for me )

4. this game has FPS cap . google for console code to remove the fps cap .

5. this game is so intensive even guys with strong PCs dont expect much from it . turn down your settings . try all settings to see which one gives you best quality with good FPS

6. if all these stuff didnt work . you have your last shot . its not that safe i think . some people dont recommend at all . try HYPER MATRIX tool , this tool can give you huge FPS boost but monitor your CPU & GPU temp so you wont damage your Hardwares .

Actually I'm playing crysis3 on lowest settings like AA turned off no motion blur, low image quality,no lens flares etc.
Still when I start the game for initial 7_10 minutes I measured 40+ fps on everything low & then there was a drop fps went down to 16-18 this occures constantly...even on low settings.
I expect to get 35-38 fps constant....coz I get them in cod ghosts n bf4..both run really smooth on med settings.
I have black box repack of crysis3 so is the update there?

Then Update the game to version 1.3 ... i had those sudden drop downs too . & Update 1.3 fixed that for me . & i could get constant FPS most of the times

Try to google for that console code that i told you about to remove FPS cap ( to let your FPS go as high as it can )
