First of all, apologies if this has been answered, i couldn't find it (probably due to me been a numpty)
OK I've been forced to build a new rig due to a mobo death and as im in a financially comfortable place ive decided to push the boat out a bit. Ive been eyeing up some bits

Mobo: Asus Maximus VI Formula socket 1150, Z87
CPU: Intel i7 4770k 1150 Haswell
Ram: G-Skill TridentX @2400MHz 2x8GB )
Gpu: undecided

i'm pretty confident i can work out the other bits myself with a bit or research, my main concern is the ram. It will work right? I've done some research but there is a lot of numbers and and words i don't/can't understand which has me doubting myself.

I know that I'll not use this rig to its full potential (maybe not at first at least) but i can afford to do it so why the hell not?
Any help would be really appreciated

Solution
Looks good and the sticks are fine with the Formula (and great sticks by the way, have the 32GB set on my IB, and went 2666 on my Haswell 9both in sig)), will be a great rig ;)

nice 1, all the info i read while doing research was a bit too much for my brain to handle I'm just a kitchen and bathroom fitter and the numbers i see day to day are just measurements transferred from a tape measure to a wall/bit of wood

thank you all very much guys, much appreciated XD
